Sample hot/active fluid while the equipment is operating. Sample after 30 minutes operating time.

Unthread and remove dust cap from valve.
|
Thread VHKF probe assembly on actual sample bottle.
|
|
Record all necessary sample data and identification on forms and labels. Attach forms and labels to bottles and mailers according to procedure.
|
Thread L16 purge bottle on to the vent cap of the VHKF probe assembly. Make sure the ¼” OD venthole remains unobstructed.
|
SLOWLY thread VHBF probe on to valve. KST Series valve opens and shuts in approx 1.25 turns. Oil will immediately and quickly start to fill the purge bottle. Purge approx 1-2 ounces into waste container then turn counterclockwise to close the valve. Remove purge bottle and replace with sample bottle.

|
-Exercise extreme caution in the vicinity of operating equipment.
- Skin contact with lube oil or inhalation of vapors can cause irritations. Consider gloves and eye protection.

SLOWLY thread VHKF probe on to valve. KST Series valve opens and shuts in approx 1.25 turns. Oil will immediately and quickly start to fill the bottle. Fill to ¾” full mark, then turn counterclockwise to close the valve.
Note: Fluid will fill bottle in a matter of seconds.

Replace the sample bottle cap, and re-thread the metal dustcap on to the sample valve. |
